Transfer Update: Chris Kirkland is keen to seal a loan move to Midlands side West Bromwich Albion Football Club from Merseyside club Liverpool.

The 24-year-old Liverpool goalkeeper is prepared to snub a move to Celtic in favour of the Baggies, as he sees staying in the Premiership as vital to his England ambitions. "Chris is a little concerned Scotland means 'out of sight, out of mind.' “, said his agent. “The opportunity at Albion suits all parties. They get a top keeper, and Liverpool can see what Chris can do.” Kirkland, formerly of Coventry City, has slipped down the pecking order at Anfield and is now expected to spent the entire 2005/06 season at the Hawthorns.
