This Saturday sees Leigh Genesis once again taking one of their UniBond Premier League home games 'on the road', with Radcliffe Borough's Stainton Park stadium the venue for a War of the Roses fixture with seventeenth placed outfit Frickley Athletic.
Steve Bleasdale's side go in to the fixture with the aim of securing their second sucessive victory for the first time this season after Tuesday night's 2-1 win over local rivals Prescot Cables in front of an ecstatic Hilton Park crowd.
Despite the victory, Bleasdale was disappointed with the failure of his side to turn their domination in to a greater winning margin, but the disruption of seeing a home game moved to a neutral venue for the third time already this season means that any win will do over their Yorkshire visitors on Saturday.
Frickley visit Radcliffe on the back of an unsettling 4-1 midweek defeat strugglers North Ferriby United, the hosts' first win of the season, with Athletic winning just one game all season, a 1-0 win over basement side Whitby Town on only the second matchday of the campaign.
Leigh have a number of injury concerns ahead of the UniBond Premier League clash, with Richard Chetcuti and Josh Wilson both collecting injuries in Tuesday's game that sees them join Andrew Teague, Jerome Watt, Brad Maylett, Darren Mansaram and Rob Marsh-Evans on the treatment table, although the latter is expected to return to the starting line up after being an unused substitute on Tuesday.
Stainton Park can be reached via bus from Bolton bus station or by car from junction 17 of the M62 (followed by the A665 Radcliffe by-pass), with normal Genesis admission prices applying and all season tickets valid for use.
Hadn't noticed until five minutes ago that Frickley got hammered on Tuesday - let's hope it's knocked their confidence and we can get that second successive win that we're so desperate for.
