Clean up Crilly - thank you

June 7 2010

Leigh Genesis' new home at Crilly Park is now looking in terrific shape, thanks in no small part to the number of volunteers who turned up at the ground on Saturday afternoon to assist in the refurbishment of the ground.

The club would sincerely like to thank all those that offered their help in repainting both stands at the ground and various other jobs that will hopefully bring the ground up to the required standard to host league fixtures during 2010/2011, with an inspection due from the league tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday 8th June).

Chairman Alan Leach, vice-chairman Gary Culshaw and board members Mary Croasdale and Matt Lawton were amongst those getting their hands dirty alongside volunteers from both Leigh Genesis and Atherton Laburnum Rovers in completing a revamp of the ground that has included new fencing, dugouts, toilets and re-paved areas.

Don't worry about the DSS by the way Mick, I think I've made it clear that it was voluntary work!
