Forward who joined Leigh Genesis in August 2010 after impressive trial period during pre-season.

After seeing much of his start to the season being interrupted by a back injury, Vernon made a belated debut as a substitute in a 6-0 defeat away to Lancaster City on Saturday 13th November 2010, with his home debut coming as a substitute in a 3-1 defeat to Cammell Laird on Tuesday 16th November 2010.

Vernon made his full debut four days later in a 2-1 defeat at home to Clitheroe on Saturday 20th November 2010.

After making three appearances for Leigh, Vernon left the club in December 2010 to join Vodkat League side Bootle.
