Mark Patterson Believes RMI Can Stay Up

With Leigh second bottom of the Nationwide Conference and only four games to go, there is every chance that RMI will be playing Unibond Premier football next season. But Mark Patterson has different views and believes Leigh has every chance of staying up.

When the Railwaymen play Gravesend on Saturday, they know that a win could boost them up four places and give them an extra life-line to survive in the Conference. With the relegation battle still hot, RMI could finish up near mid-table if all results go their way, but there is along way to go yet.

Patterson will ask his players to sharpen up in both boxes after missed chances and defensive erros lead to defeats against both Stevenage and Dagenham in the space of three days.

Gerry Harrison could make a return at the weekend after his toe injury, this would be a major boost for RMI.
