Leigh RMI boss Mark Patterson is taking on a role as the club's new commercial manager. Patterson now hopes to bring success to Hilton Park both on and off the pitch.
Leigh want to raise ther club's profile and boost income to make themselves more competitive in the Nationwide Conference. Killing two birds with one stone, Patterson has offered his services as the clubs commercial manager, whilst still being full-time boss at Hilton Park, to help Leigh achieve these goals.
Bill Taylor has taken over as chairman at Leigh, replacing Alan Leach. Two new directors have also been appointed to help the situation. Along with Patterson, they will be handling the business side of the club and helping Leigh move forward.
Patterson believes that the clubs new approach will pay dividends next season and will help Leigh to mount a more serious Conference challenge.
Leigh have been given a pre-season boost by lining up prestigious friendlies at home to Everton and Blackburn as stated in previous reports.
