Leigh RMI v. Nuneaton Borough preview

Fresh from their FA Cup exploits, high-flying Nuneaton Borough make the trip to Hilton Park tomorrow evening for a Conference North encounter against RMI.

Midlands side Nuneaton hit the headlines earlier this month when they scored a last minute equaliser to draw 1-1 against Premiership outfit Middlesbrough at Manor Park in the Third Round of the FA Cup before valiantly going down 5-2 in a replay in the North East last week with a travelling army of 'Boro fans making the trip in their thousands.

Although Nuneaton won't be bringing anywhere near as many as that on Tuesday evening, a large away support is expected to boost the coffers at Hilton Park, though nobody can really blame any home fans for staying away after a torrid run of recent results that has seen Andy Nelson's side concede twelve goals in the past three games against Lancaster, Droylsden and Stalybridge.

Although they are still riding high in the Conference North, four points clear of Northwich in third place and six points behind leaders Stafford, Nuneaton have been having a torrid time recently in terms of league form and have failed to score a goal away from home since before Christmas following a draw at Hednesford and defeats against Redditch and Harrogate, two of the sides that RMI trounced during their mini-revival over the Festive period.

RMI will be looking to make up for their torrid recent performances while the visitors will look to get their promotion challenge back on track, so it's sure to be a terrific encounter with the action starting at 7:45pm at Hilton Park, with admission at £8 for adults, £5 for concessions and just £3 for juniors.
