Scottish Cup Runners Up Medal '92 Auction ends early

After a fantastic combined effort from Airdrie Supporters Trust, Paul and Scott Heatherington, Sam Green and the supporters from the Internazioswally football team an offer of £2000 has been accepted and approved by John Martin and the seller Iain Allison.

This effort means that the medal will forever be on display in the Stadium bar for all to see.

To commemorate this there will be a presentation at the Stadium (Rowan Suite) before the Stranraer home game on Sept 20th from 1pm which Johnny & his family will attend and also Sammy Conn's family hopefully as guests of the Trust/Stadium.

Finally Johnny himself has agreed to undertake for the 2nd Time the ice bucket challenge on the pitch at half time. He might even swing on the bar too......
Of course we will be collecting on the day (so don't forget your wallet) this time with the proceeds going to the Motor Neurone Charity that we mustn't forget took Sammy in the first place!

I'm sure anyone reading this will approve and applaud the actions of all those involved.
