Airdrie get back to winning ways with a devastating opening 30 minutes away from home to Forfar, but as is the Airdrie way the second half left the Airdrie fans biting thier nails when Forfar began fighting back.

It was Alan Lithgow who opened the scoring for Airdrie after Cox sent a searching ball to the far post Lithgow rushed on to it and got his first goal in Diamond shirt. 14 minutes gone and Airdrie were 1-0 up. On 22 minutes Cox got his just rewards as Cadden with the assist and Airdrie are 2-0 to the good.
It's good to know that even with a two goal lead Airdrie never sat back and it was three nil before the half hour mark. A Nicky Cadden corner found Mark Fitzpatrick whose header beat Rab Douglas.
Forfar although stunned weren't out and on the stroke of half time they managed to get a goal back when Scott Martin got on the end of a Danny Denholm cross. After the break Forfar got right back in it again it was Martin who scored making it 2-3 in the Diamonds favour.

There were plenty of chances for both teams in the remainder of the second half but the Diamonds held on to bring the three points home.
