Prediction League Week 23 Airdrie 4 Vs. 1 Peterhead

Airdrie had gone seven games without a win ahead of yesterdays match against Peterhead and I think most fans were looking more at the teams below us, with no possibility of a victory never mind climbing up the league. Well what a way to prove us all wrong.
Whether due to the suspension of Jack Lietch or a tactical decision by Mark Wilson, Airdrie changed formation to 4-4-2 and matched Peterhead for most of the half even having a shot cleared off the line. Still one mistake at the back cost us the lead when Rory McAllister forced his way by Simon Mensing and slotted home.
If the first half went the way Airdrie fans were expecting then the second had us stunned. For 20 minutes of the the half we saw how football at Airdrie can be played. It started when a Jack Mackay shot came back of the post and was cleared by Peterhead, instead of our heads going down we fought like we have never fought before.
On 69 minutes Mackay got his just reward, McIntosh sent in a low cross that was controlled by Jack and then he fired home to even the scores. Two minutes later Airdrie took the lead when Adam Brown fired a shot against the post Ryan Conroy was first to pounce and slotted home making it 2-1 to the Diamonds.
Next us was Airdrie's top goal scorer Andy Ryan, as the ball fell behind Peterheads last defender Andy ran onto the ball and fired home 3-1 to the Diamonds.
Then to top of the win Scott Stewart broke after a Peterhead attack and raced by the Peterhead defence his shot slotted underneath Smith from outside the penalty box.
I don't think anyone had 4-1 in the prediction league so there is once again no change at the top.
