Forest Legends

It has recently been announced that Des Walker is nearing the end of his Forest career and indeed the whol of his playing days. Good for him. We'd like him to be remembered for the good rather than the bad and so maybe he should quit whil he's on top.

Des Walker in his heyday was probably the greatest center-half in the country. He had admnirers al over teh country and was one of the first ugely popular black footballers. Despite the fact that he had an abnormal liking for heading teh ball into his own net in important games, fans have remained on his side. The words "You'll never beat Des Walker" are heard whenever he makes one of his famous crunchingly strong but fair tackles to disposess an opposition player.
