The Timbers get on the board first with a Goal by Alan Gordon with Alex Bengard getting the assist. Edmo came back to score a goal to pull it even but that did not last long as the Timbers came alive.

July 8th Portland 6 Edmonton 1 Alan Gordon put on a show as he scored a hat trick in this match as the Timber were too much for Edmonton to handle. Alan (Flash) scored his goals in 11, 49, and 60 minute of play. Edmonton scored their only goal in the 17th minute. Byron Alvarez scored two goals and Dizzy Antoniuk scored his goal in the 70th minute.
