Southend United midfielder Jamal Campbell-Ryce played the majority of Jamaica's friendly against world cup bound Ghana at the Walkers Stadium in Leicester this week but unfortunatly the game ended in a 4-1 defeat. Click to read a report.

Jamal Campbell-Ryce played the majority of Jamaica's 4-1 defeat against Ghana at the Walkers Stadium, Leicester today.

Campbell-Ryce was substituted late on in the second half against the World Cup bound Black Stars as the Reggae Boyz slumped to a disappointing defeat.

Ghana had started the stronger of the two sides and broke the deadlock after just five minutes through Sulley Muntari.

Matthew Amoah saw his shot saved by Donovan Ricketts, but Udinese midfielder Muntari was on hand to snap up the rebound.

The Africans doubled their lead on 19 minutes when Stephen Appiah saw his shot deflected into the net by the unfortunate Damion Stewart.

Jamaica rallied in the second half and Charlton ace Jason Euell pulled a goal back just before the hour mark.

Ghana restored their two-goal cushion on 66 minutes with the impressive Appiah finding the net.

Two minutes later Ghana added a fourth with Matthew Amoah getting his name on the scoresheet.

Blues winger Jamal will feature this Saturday against England at Old Trafford, Manchester, in the Three Lions final warm-up match before they jet off to Germany for this summers competition.
