United held by Wolves after European success.
United were held to a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford by newly promoted Wolves on Saturday afternoon. Brazilian Fred became the 500th player to score a competitive goal for United, but the reds failed to keep a clean sheet and Wolves deservedly equalised in the second half to take a share of the spoils bacl to Molineux. The home draw comes after three consecutive away wins including a 3-0 victory in Switzerland over Young Boys. Next up is Derby County in the League Cup.
United's Champions League campaign 2018-19
Manchester United are in a Champions League group with Juventus, Valencia and Young Boys. Their campaign begins on 19th September away in Bern when they play Youn Boys; match 2 sees Valencia visit Old Trafford on 2nd October and on 23rd October the highly anticipated return of Cristiano Ronaldo with his new team Juventus. United travel to Torino for the return fixture on 7th November. Young Boys visit Manchester on 27th November with the final league match being away in Valencia on 12th December.
The new season begins...
Manchester United begin their Premier League campaign for 2018-19 with a home fixture on Friday evening (10th August) against Leicester City, kick off is 8pm. The match is live on Sky Sports and is the first of their Friday evening fixtures for the coming season. This is followed by a long trip to the south coast to take on Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday 19th August, kick off is 4pm and again the match is live on Sky Sports. United's third game of the season and the third game in a row to be covered by Sky Sports is the home match against Tottenham Hotspur. This is Bank Holiday Monday evening and kick off is 8pm.
Pre season fixtures 2018
Manchester United kick off their premier league campaign on Friday 10th August (kick off 8pm) at Old Trafford with a match against Leicester City. Befor the league begins there are a number of friendly matches and tour games which are summarised below. The importance of a good close season cannot be over estimated and the reds will want to hit the ground running when they open the new league season live on Friday night tv.
Fred misses out as Brazil fail to impress in Swiss draw
Future Red Devil Fred had to watch from the sidelines as Brazil kicked-off their World Cup in Russia with a 1-1 draw against Switzerland.

Runners-up in league and cup, not a great double...
For some clubs finishing second in the league and reaching a FA Cup final would be hailed as a success, unfortunately at Old Trafford that isn't the case. With Manchester City sweeping all before them in the Premier League, United had the chance to win some major silverware in the FA Cup but they fell short losing 1-0 in a very forgettable final tie against Chelsea at Wembley.
Second spot in the bag after bore draw at Irons
Manchester United secured second spot in the Premier League following a bore draw at David Moyes' West Ham, with goalkeepers David De Gea and Adrian unbeaten throughout.
United in another FA Cup final!
Manchester United will be back at Wembley on 19th May to play Chelsea in the FA Cup final. This is following a well deserved victory over Tottenham Hotspur by 2-1 in the semi final at Wembley last Saturday (21st April). Lifting the famous old trophy and finishing runners-up to neighbours City would give the club a good end to the season and continue to add to the trophy cabinet following two cup wins last season. This will be United's 20th final, equalling the record held by Arsenal.
Red Devils to head Stateside again for pre-season tour
Manchester United will play a series of friendly fixtures in the United States of America as part of their summer preparations for the 2018/19 season, with participation in the International Champions Cup again likely.
