Fight on?

Local rivals Manchester City were the big winners in the Premier League title race on the weekend. Roberto Mancini's men claimed a crucial 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic and, following United's defeat at Anfield, now sit seven points off the top of the tree.

Carlos Tevez scored the only goal of the game as City edged out Lancastrian rivals Wigan.

After the weekend's action, City now sit seven points off the Premier League pace.

They are four points behind Arsenal, who boast a game-in-hand over both Manchester clubs.

Attentions now move away from league action for City. An FA Cup trip to Reading is sandwiched between two Europa League clashes against Dynamo Kiev.
