Manchester United secured safe passage to the Europa League knock-out stages, with a comfortable 2-0 away win at Zorya Luhansk.
Needing a point to guarantee a prolonged stint in the competition, United controlled the game for long periods and always looked the more likely to score.
Whilst the Ukrainian outfit offered stubborn defensive resistance, Henrikh Mkhitaryan broke the deadlock on 48 minutes in stylish fashion. He went on a mazy run from the half-way line and dispatched a neat finish, as his resurgence at United continues.
Fenerbahçe's victory at Feyenoord meant progression was ultimately a sure thing for the Red Devils, but on-form Zlatan Ibrahimovic doubled United's lead in the 88th minute.
This is a competition United have never won, and booking a place in the final 32 delighted the vocal band of travelling Red Devils supporters.
