Disappointment for Stam

There was heartbreak for former Manchester United defender Jaap Stam, and ex-Red Devil Tyler Blackett, as Reading suffered Championship play-off final agony against Huddersfield Town.
Huddersfield Town ensured a spot among England's footballing elite on Bank Holiday Monday, beating the Royals 4-3 on penalties.
Stam watched on from the dugout, as his Berkshire charges played out a goalless draw against the Yorkshire outfit.
Reading had finished third in the Championship, with Huddersfield - who enjoyed such a strong start to the campaign - ending up in fifth. They beat Fulham and Sheffield Wednesday respectively in the semi-finals to book a spot in Monday's showpeice finale.
After the stalemate, Reading seized the advantage as Michael Hefele missed a spot-kick for Huddersfield, but misses from Liam Moore and Jordan Obita ultimately proved crucial for Stam's side.
Following the relegation of East Yorkshire club Hull City, Huddersfield's promotion ensures the historic county retains Premier League representation for the 2017/18 season.
The Terriers' promotion to the Premier League sets up their first games against Manchester United since 1972, when the Red Devils beat Town 2-0 at Old Trafford in the English First Division. United and Town have met 45 times, with United winning 20, Huddersfield 10 and 15 being all square.
