Sir Alex Ferguson is set to launch a bid for Anderlecht's 17-year-old wonderkid Vincent Kompany. Komany was spotted by United's chief scout Martin Ferguson during Anderlecht's Champions League game with Celtic and was very impressed with his 'professional' and 'mature' performance at centre-half.

Anderlecht's 17-year-old wonderkid Vincent Kompany.
Komany was spotted by United's chief scout Martin Ferguson during Anderlecht's Champions League game with Celtic and was very impressed with his 'professional' and 'mature' performance at centre-half. Brussels-born Kompany has strolled into the Anderlecht side this season and has even earned himself a place into the Belgium first team squad. Anderlecht want £2million for wonderkid and wont let him go for a penny less. He has already attracted interest from all over the footballing world. Clubs such as Real Madrid, Lazio, Inter and Liverpool all want the Belgian ace, but Arsenal have come the closest last season when Komany had agreed terms but changed his mind at the 11th hour. Komany has played on numerous occasions for the Belgian U17 and U18 side with fellow United Belgian youngster Floribert Ngalula and he may be a key figure on choosing United rather than any other team. |
