Manchester United’s
versatile forward Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks set to make his comeback after a
long lay-off on the sidelines through injury. The 30-year-old has been out
of action since undergoing a knee operation back in September. However,
Solskjaer is aiming to be in action in United’s reserve clash against Aston
Villa on February 5th, and will make himself available for first-team
action should he come through the game without any problems. "Ole is doing fine," said United manager Sir
Alex Ferguson "But I don't want to build him up for
playing again after so long out and then find the pitch is too hard or risk his
return. "He will get a game when we play Aston Villa
at home. He will definitely be okay by then." Solkjaer can play on either the right flank
or as a strike. However, the Norwegian international faces tough opposition to
get back into the first-team for both positions. |
