Lawrence Extends Shrewsbury Deal

Shrewsbury Town have extended Manchester United defender Lee Lawrence's stay at Gay Meadow until the end of the season to help the Shrews' quest for promotion into the Nationwide Division 3. The young left full-back has impressed everyone at Shewsbury and has even bagged a couple of goals.

United defender Lee Lawrence's stay at Gay Meadow until the end of the
season to help the Shrews' quest for promotion into the Nationwide
Division 3.
The young left full-back has impressed everyone at Shewsbury and has even bagged a couple of goals for Jimmy Quinn's outfit, scoring twice in 6 games for the Conference outfit. "He's enjoyed his time here and it's been good experience for the lad, we've enjoyed having him here." said boss Quinn "He's played out of position at times and done well and he's weighed in with a couple of goals." "I just feel that if we get a knock or two that Lee can come in and do a great job. He's a terrific player." Lawrence had excelled at youth level for The Red Devils and has only broken into Ricky Sbragia's reserve side this season. |
