Heinze Is The Best Signing - Fans

Fans of Manchester United have deemed versatile defender Gabriel Heinze as their team's best signing of the summer since witnessing all their acquisitions for about half a season now, according to a recent poll conducted by ManUtdWeb.

Left-back Heinze shrugged off competition from striking duo Wayne Rooney and Alan Smith and also former Celtic midfielder Liam Miller to win over 55% of the total votes cast.

The Argentine international was signed for a mere £7 million from French side PSG, a bargain in comparison to Wayne Rooney, who United forked out £30 million out for. Alan Smith moved across the Pennines from Leeds to Old Trafford and has settled down surprisingly well, finding the net regularly. Smith came second in the poll with just over 30%.

Rooney received just 10% whilst Liam Miller impressed just 2% of the United faithful.

Question: At the half way-point in the season, which summer signing has impressed you the most? (Well over 300 unique supporters cast their vote)

Gabriel Heinze 57%
Alan Smith 31%
Wayne Rooney 10%
Liam Miller 2%
