Royals hardman midfielder Ricky Newman will serve a 1 game ban after his sending off against Leicester City.Newman misses the visit of Plymouth Argyle at the Madejski Stadium this Saturday.

NEWMAN TO SERVE SUSPENSION

Reading have decided not to appeal against Ricky Newman's sending off from last Saturday's FA Cup 4th Round defeat against Leicester City.

The former Crystal Palace and Millwall hard man got his marching orders after 2 yellow cards.

But after a review of the decisions, Manager Steve Coppell has decided to let the decision stand.

Newman will now miss Saturday's visit of Plymouth Argyle.

But on a more positive front, former England U21 midfielder Steve Sidwell is back after serving a 2 game ban for picking up 10 yellow cards.

Sidwell should go straight back into the side at the expense of Newman.
