Mixed results for relegation rivals

With City's game at Macclesfield being called off our relegation rivals couldn't take advantage and City remain 21st and 3 points clear of the drop zone, but Wrexham are now back in the pack. They achieved an unlikely win against MK Dons, who despite everyone raving about them have now lost 2 in a row without scoring and now their promotion pack are catching up.

City are still 3 points above 23rd placed Mansfield after they were beaten 1-0 at home by Darlington. A penalty was the difference at Field Mill but now Mansfield don't have another League game until they face City a week on Tuesday. They will entertain Middlesbrough on Saturday in the FA Cup. If City's game against Dagenham goes ahead then Mansfield would regain their 2 games in hand over the Imps, meaning a victory for City is vital.

3 days later and the Imps will face Mansfield at Sincil Bank and if City can beat Dagenham and then get 3 points off Mansfield, we would move 9 points clear of the Stags and they would only have those two games in hand.

However, whether Mansfield will be bottom or not when they come to Sincil Bank will depend. MK Dons made the trip to the Racecourse of Wrexham and the team that seem to have been dubbed as the Champions already left with their second defeat in a row without scoring, a Neil Roberts goal giving Wrexham their first point in 8 games. Wrexham also don't have a game on Saturday.

The other relegation contenders, Dagenham and Redbridge got a creditable draw against in-form Grimsby. It is just the 11th point that the Daggers have picked up at home in the League after 2 wins, 5 draws and 6 defeats.

Notts County eased their relegation worries with a 1-0 win over Chester and Wycombe came from behind to get a point at Rotherham.
