Lord of the Imps : Return of the King

It's been 88 days since the majority of Lincoln fans last saw Peter Jackson at Sincil Bank. The Imps gaffer has been away from Sincil Bank receiving treatment for throat cancer for almost 12 weeks and he will finally return, even if only just for a day, this coming Wednesday for a meeting at the club.
Cast your minds back to October 15th 2007 and the day that John Schofield was sacked after a horrible 2007. Speculation was rife about who would become the new Lincoln City manager and a lot of people ruled out the man who I said would be my first choice...Peter Jackson.
Tuesday October 30th saw Peter Jackson hired as the manager and be dubbed as the Lord of the Imps. Several months and a much improved League position later, Jackson revealed he had be diagnosed with throat cancer and went off for treatment soon afterwards.
88 days of health issues later and Jackson is finally on the verge of a return to the club. He is back at the club on Wednesday for a meeting to discuss many different subjects.
On behalf of all those associated with theimps.tk, I would like to wish Jacko a happy return to the club and we all look forward to the promotion push next season.

Its not a vitals thing, nor it a Lincoln Imps thing..
did i plagurise with getting it on my shirt?
or did the trust copy me on getting a shirt printed..
He has only called him by what alot of people call him!

Funnily enough, I don't read the Vitals website so it's a pure coincedence. And my reason for not reading your article about Jackson being on TV was because I had read it on one of the other forums (probably Lincoln Imps) and felt no need to read an article about it.
If you want to talk about plagiarising, I was one of, if not the first one to come up with the reference to Lord of the Rings. I did it in the article I had posted with my hopes for the new manager just a day or two after Schofield had got sacked. Here to be more precise.

I've just browsing the Vitals archive now to find the site's first reference of "Lord of the Imps" or something to that effect, or infact anything Jackson and LOTR related.
The earliest article I could find with such a record was when Jackson joined as manager and an article revolving around "the precious," which is also the day that you claim above was the day Neil came up with it.....a full 2 weeks after I had referenced Lord of the Rings.

Anyway, I'm going to get away from it whilst I can. I think the whole thing that this "debate" proves is that sites will often come up with similar articles or ideas without realising it.

you won't have seen, but an editor of another vitals site eddy01 has criticised our reference to LOTI as LOTI on a number of occasions.

Fair enough, either way it's still bit odd to criticise another team for using a headline to reference LOTR for a manager with the name of Peter Jackson.
I hope for his sake that his club don't employ Bruce Wayne, Clark Kent or Peter Parker.

Peter Jackson's earlier films included "Meet the Feebles" and "Braindead". Probably what was going through Jacko's mind when he was introduced to the squad.

southern, yes he has no trophies yet, but saving us from relegation surely is an achievment.

By that logic your opinion about Marriott is just as mis-guided as most fan's opinion of Jackson. Marriott has achieved nothing in his career, no promotions, no successful playoffs, no appearance in team of the year, no player of the year trophy and no player of the month award.
Infact, it took Jackson 3 months to win a nationally recognised award, something Marriott didn't manage in 9 years.
