Forrester leaves Sincil Bank

Jamie Forrester has left Lincoln City and has signed for Notts County. The striker scored 14 goals for City last season and his transfer away from Lincoln will come as a huge blow for our promotion hopes next season, especially as he's leaving for a side that fight against relegation on a regular basis.
Forrester joined the Imps in 2006 on loan from Bristol Rovers, he went on to make that a permanent transfer in that summer and has been a regular in the first team since. He scored 37 goals in 101 appearances for City before leaving.
Forrester was offered a new deal at Sincil Bank but has decided to join in Notts County's inevitable annual struggle against relegation. County haven't finished in the top half of any table since finishing 8th in 2000/1 in what was then known as Division 2. Their highest finish in the 4 years they've played since returning to Sincil Bank have seen a 13th placed finish in 2006/7, 19th in 2004/5 and 21st in 2005/6 and 2006/7.
Jamie's two trips to Meadow Lane for City were certaintly different. He got sent off in our trip there in 2006/7 but scored the winner there last season.
