New contract, new era, same old rubbish.

In a week when Jackson has signed a new contract, it was a typical Peter Jackson's Lincoln performance that saw us come within seconds of losing to Bournemouth, yet again settling on a one goal lead and rarely going on the attack again until the visitors had gone 3-1 up. The future most certainly isn't red and white.

The Imps kicked off the game and were quick on the attack with Anthony Elding almost connecting with a header from a Paul Green cross. Kovacs headed a corner wide before Bournemouth's Brett Pitman became injured for several minutes. Frecklington hit an effort wide as City dominated the early stages and Elding wasted another chance as he hit a ball well wide of the target.

Horsfield fell awkwardly whilst trying to control the ball and despite not looking comfortable, played on. Pitman was booked for a foul on Frecklington and the subsequent midfield was played around the defence before Green played it in for N'Guessan to loop a header over Button and into the net. It was no more than City had deserved at that point...it's just a pity that it was the last time during the game that the Imps looked dangerous.

Bournemouth started camping themselves in the City half but failed to create any worthy chances as balls into the box were cleared. However, it came as little surprise when Bournemouth did equalise, again unsurprisingly from distance as Molesley shot from long range, seeing Burch out of position yet again.

Green gained a yellow card on the stroke of half time but neither side could create anything relatively noteworthy. The half time break saw Horsfield replaced by Patulea, the Romanian getting more than a five minute appearance at the end.

City started the second half on the attack as N'Guessan tried his luck from distance before Thomson fired wide from a narrow angle for the visitors. A Wiggins effort had to be tipped over by Burch. Infact, Burch pulled off a fine save a few minutes later as a long range Pitman free kick appeared to be heading in, only for the goalkeeper to get his fingertips to it and curl it around the post.

Bournemouth then took the lead through the penalty spot after Beevers had fouled Hollands on the edge of the box. Pitman stepped up and slotted it past Burch, it was nothing more than the visitors had deserved. Kerr was replaced by Oakes for the Imps before Pitman had a shot blocked on the edge of the area.

Another penalty decision saw Beevers yet again being the culprit, bringing down Pearce and the ref pointed to the spot. Pitman stepped up again and smashed it down the middle for 3-1. Green was replaced by Clarke.

Patulea was booked for persistant fouling before the Imps won their first free kick of the half. It was floated into the box and Beevers headed it goalwards, Button spilled it seemingly behind the line before Brown made sure by smashing it to the back of the goal, strangely the referee still had to check with his linesman if it had gone it.

Partington replaced Thomson in a substitution that took nigh on three minutes as Bournemouth were persistent in their time wasting. It came back to bite them on the arse though as in the 5^th minute of injury time, Lee Frecklington smashed it goalwards and Button again failed to deal with it, giving City the most undeserved of points this season
