First pre-season games announced

Lincoln City's pre-season has a very local feel to it with six local matches so far being announced. The Imps will start a month long collection of friendlies with a trip to Ilkeston Town, and it will currently end on August 6th with a trip to Boston United.

Last season Lincoln's pre-season saw no local away friendlies for the first team, as the first team played Staines, Bishop Stortford and Walton Casuals, with the youth team travelling to the local teams, however that is certainly not the case this year.

Six pre-season games have now been announced and just one is against a team from outside of Lincolnshire.

It all starts with a trip to Ilkeston Town on July 7th before the unfamiliar team of Barton Old Boys on July 19th, followed by Brigg Town the following night. Scunthorpe travel to Sincil Bank for the Lincolnshire Senior Cup Semi Final on July 24th before a short trip to Gainsborough Trinity on July 26th. The final friendly as it stands is against Boston United on August 6th.
