Weaver leaves Imps for Kidderminster

Imps defender Simon Weaver has left the Imps permanently after signing for Kidderminster. The defender was in the middle of a 3 month loan to Macclesfield Town but has now joined the team at the bottom of the division.

Seeking first team football, Weaver knew he couldn't stay at Lincoln until the end of the season AND sit out his contract on the bench so he agreed to the loan move to Macclesfield but has now taken the oppurtunity to get a new contract with an almost guaranteed first team start.

New Harriers boss, Stuart Watkiss is looking to revolutionise his side and chances are the team that Imps face on 8th of January will be a completely different prospect from the one the Imps beat 3-0 earlier this season.

Weaver was an integral part of the recent playoff seasons and arguably put more effort in than anyone. Always running all over the pitch and getting the occasional goal. Ben Sedgemore summed Weaver up perfectly when he was describing him in the programme for the playoff final.

"You get the feeling Weaver would jump in front of a moving train if it threatened the Imps goal"

It is surely a great signing for the team currently 5 points adrift at the bottom.
