Following recent news linking him with a move to manager Peterborough United, Imps boss Keith Alexander is now being linked with a move to Rotherham United. The Millers sacked Ronnie Moore a few months ago and have been looking for a replacement ever since and they believe Keith might be the man.

Rotherham were relegated to League 1 last night with a 4-3 reverse at Ipswich Town after being bottom near enough all season and not winning their first game until near Christmas. Ronnie Moore was sacked after many successful years in the job and turned an average Division 3 (now League 2) club into a established Division 1 (Championship) club and came close on one occassion to getting them into the Premiership. They have been looking for a manager ever since.

Several managers reportedly rejected the job automatically when offered it including John Gregory, Keith Curle, Alan Buckley, Gary Johnsen, Mark Wright and Kevin Keegan. Now the Millers believe that Keith Alexander could very well be the man to get them back into the Championship at the first attempt and unlike Peterborough, this might have a chance of happening if City don't go up.
