Reaction to the goalless draw with Carlisle

I must say that game was awful to be frank but there are a few positives to be taken out of it. The first being that without really penetrating the Cumbrians, we generally bossed the game and they very rarely threatened the goal and it was pleasing to finally get a clean sheet for the first time this season.

Secondly, Cryan and Keates kept up their impressive form and both look like the next potential star players at Sincil Bank. Both have a great understanding of the game and put in more work rate than several players from last year's squad.

However, there are also negatives. Several players look exhausted from the Rushden game and it was obvious that fatigue was setting in for several players. The distribution of certain players has also been poor so far this season and I am still unconvinced about the re-signing of Mayo, who, despite time in the Championship, doesn't appear to have even slightly improved.

"This is a good result for us because I think every point you pick up in this division is important. It was a scrap because they have a set way of playing and it is very effective for them, we went out there to disrupt that today and I think we did very well"

"Cyran or Morgan? I would say these two could end up competing for the same position. I was a big fan of Morgan but on todays display he looked poor (as already highlighted) but Cryan gets better each game. At the moment i'd rather have Cryan in for Morgs!"

"Well it`s not very often you`ll find me praising referee`s,but i felt todays Ref actually had a good game. As has already been said he tried to let the game flow where possible.
Only complaint really was the penalty.Without a doubt it was a stonewall penalty,and had he actually been watching play instead of looking across at Keith Alexander then he may have given the penalty.Basically a good performance from a first year referee,who on todays performance i`d be happy to see in the middle again."

!A good effort all round today by the boys, considering that this is a Lincoln side that will undoubtedly miss out in the Play Offs again this year. Set out to furstrate them and try and catch them on the break and for 5 mins at the end of the first half we had them on the rack a little, but went back in to our shells in the 2nd, still a point gained rather than 2 lost."
