Pictures and Reaction from the Shrewsbury game

Our usual reaction to the latest match. This time it's the one sided affair against Shrewsbury Town at Sincil Bank. City absolutly dominated the game and if we actually had a striker that could hit a barn door, then we might actually be challenging for promotion, rather than looking over shoulders.

I hope you're satisfied Keith. In the summer, you got rid of the only striker we had that could actually score and wanted to stay (Taylor-Fletcher) and now, with 16 attempts on goal, we score just 1 goal and that comes from a goalmouth scramble just 1 yard out from goal. If we'd have had a striker that could hit a barn door, we'd have easily beaten Shrewsbury who seemed more than happy with their point. Here's a news flash Keith, we won't be there or there a-bloody-bouts if we keep wasting these oppurunities that we would have easily slotted away last season and incase you hadn't notice, we're nearer the relegation zone than the playoffs"

This wasn't even an challenge as Shrewsbury were pretty bad and if it wasn't for some good saves from Hart, then they would have lost by a massive margin but no doubt, just like the Cheltenham game, everyone will say that they deserved a point which would be so far from the truth that it was on mars. Also, if time wasting and pretending to be injured was an art form, then Shrewsbury would be the Vincent Van Gogh's of the area. You Shrewsbury fans can say what you want about me but if you keep playing as negatively as you did today, it won't be long before you are in that relegation battle I predicted you for.

At the end of a day, a point is a point but there was only one team who should have won today but this is just a sign of how poor Keith's judgment was during the summer when it came to releasing a striker who could actually score when provided with an easy chance.

"I don't think anyone can fault us, we've been by far the best team today by a million miles. We hit the post and bar 3 times but things don't seem to be going our way"

"I was disappointed with the first half and we conceeded a sloppy goal that wasn't deserved"

"It's a cruel game and sometime you don't get what you deserve"

"Warming to Nat brown covers an awful lot of ground and has come up with 6 goals - Lets not be fooled with are well and truly in a relegation scrap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Frustrating is probably the only word to describe the performance. Struck the bar twice, had a shot blocked on the line, countless penalty appeals for handball and Starvin Marvin had two chances where it seemed easier to score than miss. Also nice to see that Starvin has learnt the offside rule."

"16 goal attempts by Lincoln. 2 by Town. 12 corners to Lincoln. 2 to Town. I think that just about sums it up! Lucky point. "

"Yes, a year back we would have been hammered. It's a lucky point but a point none the less. I'm reasonably happy."
