Rivals have contrasting ticket sales

Boston and have Grimsby have been selling tickets for their games against the Imps at extremely different rates. Whereas Grimsby fans have snapped up over half the tickets already for next week's game at Sincil Bank, the Pilgrims are struggling to sell out the home ends for Saturday's match.

Imps fans have snapped up all over the tickets Boston provided to the City faithful and the City players will be backed by over 2000 City fans come Saturday afternoon, however, the home side are struggling to break the 2500 mark for the home ends. It is believed that Boston have sold little over 1,500 tickets to add to their approximate 1000 season tickets. This would make it easily the lowest attendance between the 2 sides in League football that has seen the previous 3 games at York Street become sell outs within days of tickets going on sales. If you are a Lincoln fan who planning on going to the game then do not try and get into the Boston ends, don't because the Pilgrims are using various techniques to make sure that you really are a Boston fan.

City will travel to York Street hoping to make it 3 wins in a row against Steve Evan's men. Boston will be looking for their first win over the Imps since the 2-0 victory over the Imps in August 2002. Since then, City have won 2 of the 6 games with the other 4 being drawn.

Grimsby however have had no trouble selling their tickets for next week's match at Sincil Bank. After being allocated 2,300 in the CO-OP and Mundy Stands, the Mariners have already sold 1,300 tickets and they are expected to repeat their efforts of last year of selling out their full ticket allocation. For Imps' fans, it is also all ticket except for the Stacey West stand and ticket sales for the home ends have already apparantly past the 4000 mark and with over a week to go, this could easily turn out to be the largest attendance at a City game since Keith Alexander started his second reign.
