Reaction to yet another home draw against Orient

What an incredibly odd game that was and the iratic decision making of the officials meant that you never knew what was going to happen. I can see why Orient were annoyed about our goal because there did appear to be a clear foul but as they say, who gives a ****? It says it all that we had 27 free kicks compared to Orient's 7 and yet we were the ones doing the majority of the fouling although Orient's Jon Mackie belongs in a boxing club rather than a football game.

The frustrating side of Lincoln City was in display again today and on a multitude of occasions, the ball was there to be won but no-one bothered to make an effort to get the ball and Orient almost scored. That was the difference, every attack that Orient had, you felt they would score but you didn't get that with City and that's simply because we've started relying too much on Forrester and if/when his loan isn't extended, that'll be bad news for City. Overall, it wasn't a bad performance and at times, it was a very entertaining game but at others, we were bloody awful. It says it all that Orient only had 3 chances in the first half, 1 went in, 1 was cleared of the line and the other was an on target header.

I think I've discovered Kerr-vision. Next time you see Kerr play, look as him as he's about to hit the ball because he NEVER looks where he's hitting it, every single time he hits the ball, he's always looking at the ball and 7 out of every 10 passes will go out of play or straight to the opposition.

Funnily enough, I spent all of Friday night trying to figure out what had been the quickest goal I'd seen the Imps conceed in my time watching the Imps and within 15 hours of me figuring out my answer, that time was beaten and it felt like such a waste of time. However, it was vital that we didn't lose but now we have a problem, that problem being Bristol Rovers. Peterborough are on the same points as us but I'd be amazed if they got anything from their last 2 games but Bristol Rovers have 2 extremely winnable games. However, if the Imps win and Peterborough lose next Saturday, a draw would guarantee our playoff places on the final day. We'd be 3 ahead of Peterborough going into the final day but only 2 ahead of Bristol Rovers but with an immensly superior goal difference. Meaning that even if Bristol Rovers win their last 2 games, if City get 4 points, they will be in the playoffs unless Bristol somehow win 2 games combining a total of 25odd goals.

"The first 15-20 minutes was appauling, and they could easily have caved in. But lots of credit to them, after that they got back in the game and got what could be a vital point. I couldn't critise any players performace today, although Beevers and Forrester were the pick of the bunch." gazglades

"Did they (Robinson and Green) have there bootlaces tied together, it was like watching Drogba at Chelski(until they got the ball), how many times did Marvin stop chasing the ball to moan at the ref? How many times did franny fall over and scream for a foul like big girl? They both put in a lot of effort but they'll soon get a name for themselves if they keep going to ground so easy. Fair play to Orient they went for it today, didn't timewaste at 1-0 and for me looked value for there point and could of got more. "Although it was only a draw and we only got a point at the end of the day it was a very good point which could well be very important. We started of very poor giving away a sloppy goal within the first 90 seconds which makes a change from giving away a sloppy goal in the final 90 seconds at least we got more chance to get back into the match like we did today. Any way I thought as the first half went on we was getting more and more into the match and I think half time came to soon as I thought we might have scored again if we played a little longer.
Although it was not a brilliant game it was not really a poor game like the last few home games." bikerimp

"I usually erase crap games from my memory pretty quickly, so he (Parkes) must've done something wrong in that one. And when I say crap refereeing, I mean for both sides. To me, he's always had the look of somebody that has no control over a game. I'd forgotton that he had refereed the Huddersfield home game 2 years ago before I just read it on the MB. He made some pretty harsh decisions against Huddersfield that day, and had no control over the game in general."

For the first time since maybe the 0-0 draw vs Carlisle 2 months ago, we put together 5 or 6 incisive passing moves today, leading to corners, shots or free kicks in dangerous positions. However, these were highly concentrated at the start of each half...for most of the time it was long ball again. Our next 2 opponents know more than anyone how good we are when we play this sort of expansive and incisive passing game for the majority of a game, as back in late October/November we had this sort of game (mixed with a tight defence) spot on." both jimbo

"I think we lost the auto place with the Grimsby result todays game was always going to be difficult but with three forwards who have forgotten how to score it was almost impossible. We have been relying on our defenders for goals since January(Connor apart). Its unbelievable that they haven't scored in 10/12 weeks.Before anyone starts about the service to them it hasnt been that bad. They have both had numerous chances but nothing.. I suppose looking on the bright side if it does come to the dreaded playoffs again hopefully we will have Tudor back, he could just make the
