Leeds defeated - time for Warnock to go.

Following yesterday’s defeat at Manchester City, I think that a managerial change has to be the best option for all concerned. Before I go into the why’s and wherefore’s, let me be clear – I’m not anti Warnock as some are, and think he has had to deal with more than most managers could cope with. He hasn’t been backed as he would have liked, and, until a few weeks ago, had us in a position where a good run would have taken us to the play offs. Some of the bile directed in his direction by some has been disgusting, and completely uncalled for.… So why do I think it’s time for change? Let me explain…
Warnock came a year ago with a big reputation for getting teams promoted. His brand of football wasn’t easy on the eye, but when he takes your team up, who cares really. I’m sure we all could sit through some up and at ‘em football if it took us to the promised land of the Premiership. The problem is…. It hasn’t. Even the most optimistic of fans must know that this season might as well be written off now. We ain’t going anywhere… Warnock will go at the end of the season – his one final crack at a record breaking promotion ending in failure. We will bring in a new boss and start again – and therein lies my point….starting all over again. A new manager would have to assess the squad, see what he’s working with, and that takes time. He’s have pre season training, friendlies etc to judge, then start planning. Get a manager in now – with nothing to lose, makes much more sense. 3 months to work out the strengths and weaknesses of the players. Get to know what makes them tick. Once the end of the season comes, we can go straight for the new players that we desperately need. It gives us a chance to clear out the dead wood, and rebuild the club from top to bottom. New manager – new start….but get him in now.
Adkins is the name on most people’s lips, and he’s currently out of work, and could be a perfect target. Drag our heels for too long – until the summer, and another job might come calling for him. Snap him up now, and rebuild..
The one big sticking point in all of this is the owners. We’re still to understand if they are here for the love or the money. Are they looking for a quick buck, or to take this once great club back to where it needs to be. Is the investment they are actively seeking because they want to have a huge push next season, or because they are desperately short of funds? When the takeover was first mentioned, the thoughts of Bates out, anyone in was met by widespread excitement – but as yet, as the transfer window showed, we don’t seem to be in a better position at all. There have been some good ideas from GFHC – the half season tickets, and discounted family tickets are brilliant ideas – as is the social media work they are doing – but at the end of the day, the fans want to see success on the pitch – and will pay for it. Now is the time for change – be brave GFHC – make the change, make it now, and take this club forward…

My one and only point was NW brought in and dealt with a lot of@#$%&so let's be fair and give him the chance until even he has to admit pure Maths makes it impossible to hit his target. All those NW haters, do you really want him to have an excuse that it 'could have been' by getting rid now?
Interviews on TV in a few years time with NW saying "I was really disappointed at Leeds, I felt we still had enough in our locker to gain promotion but when the fans turn on you, what chance do you really have?". I would rather leave him so he can walk away having tried and write a nice little paragraph or two in his Auto-biography.......
Been saying that for weeks - and it remains as sensible now as it did then IMO.
Though he is not helping himself in his press conferences.
I know being keep using names like Adkins - but there's not a chance of us getting him if another Premiership side have eyes on him - we just couldn't compete financially - so no matter how could a fit he is, I'd say there is a pretty good chance it wouldn't be him.
To want Warnock out, you'd have to beleive anyone would be better!
Three back to back wins and we are right back in it - Playing better last few games (Man City aside) - I say three more games, with his new signings settled in and lets see what happens - Now is the right time of the season to be hitting form!
The other thing - lets say Warnock did somehow pull this off - went on a run, got into the play-offs and got us promoted - how would people feel? That is the minimum expected of him given the players and budget he's had - or would they think he had done a bloody good job considering.
If you'd think the latter, why would anyone consider calling for his head now?

He's already said himself it's not likely he'll get us up now. So no, this isn't a factor for me at all.

The voice of sanity. It just hasn't worked. You know the manager is on borrowed time when regular attending fans are abusing him, the radio channel who is even part of the same group of companies is abusing him, all the local press are abusing him and the manager himself admits he's failed and will be gone in 2 months anyway. Position = untenable IMO. Will take a miracle to get the fans back on side.

The ones who've presided over every manager who's been appointed and sacked since we were relegated from the top flight. The managers keep failing because the boards do not back them adequately enough. The managers bring in the best they can with the funds made available to them.....it's not enough to get promoted (with the exception of Grayson).
Perhaps Warnock should have been wiser with his words when he was 1st appointed then. He seemed to think he was the man to do the job and he seemed to enjoy having a pop at Grayson and the team that he left behind, he couldn't wait to get his team in place so that there would be no more embarrassing defeats.
Grayson deserves an apology from Warnock I think, Grayson didn't do such a bad job really under bates's restraints.

I'm more worried about avoiding relegation now, we're only 8 points off the drop zone, with our current form it doesn't look promising either
