Leicester enter administration

Leicester have been granted in their plea to enter administration by the High Court.

This now paves the way for the consortium, fronted by Gary Lineker, to buy the club from the administrators.

Mr Justice Parks said that the other option of putting the club into liquidation would spell disaster.

Foxes boss Micky Adams admitted that the state of the club was affecting the team and voiced his concerns over the future of the club staff, rather than the protected players when speaking to the club website.

"It's an unsettling period for everyone, players and staff.

"I think the players are protected under their agreements but staff might not be and that is something that has to be sorted out.

"All I'm concerned with is keeping everyone together, protecting my players and staff, when I meet the administrator in due course."
