Gooding in Talks At Walsall

Walsall are in talks with former Wolves midfielder about taking over coaching duties for the youth team.

Mick Gooding made his name 6 mile down the road at Molineux in midfield, and has been approached for the youth team role because Mick Halsall as been promoted to coach the first team.

Mick has managed Reading and recently has been coaching at Southend and this oppotunity could be hard to turn down.

Speaking to the official site Colin Lee Walsall manager said "Micky is someone who I worked with at Reading."

Lee added "Discussions are currently on-going to bring him into our youth coaching set-up and I hope to make an announcement early next week."
