Slade Rejects Coaching Role

Scarborough boss Russell Slade will stay at The McCain Stadium after turning down a coaching role at Bradford.

Bradford will continue to look for a youth team coach after first choice Russell Slade rejected the chance to move from non league football at Scarbrough.

Slade was all set to come to Bradford but a deal broke down last week and a fresh approach today was futile ,as he was willing to fight to get Scarborough into the new Conference play off zone.

Russell Slade speaking on his decision said "After speaking to the Bradford chairman and Nicky Law, and after further discussions with Malcolm Reynolds, I have decided to stay and see through the job here."

"It was very flattering, and it was a very difficult decision to make." Slade also added

Slade resigned two weeks ago at Scarborough and the reports that he was going to Bradford were very strong , but he was brought back in and has repaid the faith that the top dogs at Scarborough have in him by staying put.
