Portsmouth are hoping to unveil plans for a new 35,000 all seater stadium at the nearby Fratton Goods Yard very soon.

Pompey want to demolish there current Fratton Park home and build a new super stadium at the nearby Goods Yard.

Speaking at a supporters meeting yesterday Peter Storrie said "I have always appreciated the frustration felt by fans but we can make no apologies for getting every small detail of this right."

"It is something for life and I hope in around two weeks' time we will be in a position to have finalised things and make a positive announcement." Storrie added

Fratton Park has been home to Portsmouth since 1898 and has seen some special times there , in 1956 Fratton Park hosted it's first ever floodlit match , in 1997 a revamp off the ground took place with a brand new 4,500 Fratton End being opened.
