Bolton: Close to the Rubicon

Bolton Wanderers are close to crossing their very own Rubicon and are due to land the signing of Roma’s Vincent Candela. Candela has found opportunities limited at Roma this season and it is strongly rumoured in Italy that his contract has been cancelled six months early.

Which would of course, leave him free to join Bolton. He reportedly visited Bolton of Friday, to discuss terms and to have a look at his future surroundings.

But while it looks increasingly likely that he will sign for Bolton, everything is not 100% yet as his agent Stephane Canard told L'Equipe:

"We have to think about everything before making a choice, nothing is certain yet.”
