Raul, Beckham Figo who will be the lost Galacticos

Raul Gonzalez has offered to leave Real Madrid, if it can halt their current slump. It hasn’t been the best of seasons for Raul, who has not scored in the last five games and he is clearly feeling the strain.

"I want to stay but, if I have to make a sacrifice for Madrid so that the club moves forward, I would do so," Raul told daily ABC in an interview published Wednesday. "I don't want to get in the way. I love Madrid and I want what's best for the club."

"These are bad times to be a Real Madrid player."

"I've never had two years without winning the title so this must be my worst moment."

Madrid president Florentino Perez has hinted that at least one, if not more of his Galacticos will be unloaded in the summer, and polls in Madrid and the Spanish press seam to state that the fans would rather David Beckham and Luis Figo went. But Raul is uncomfortably high to leave in the polls as well.

"I think that this is something which has to come from the club, not from polls or sections of the press," Raul said.

"If the club asks me for a sacrifice, things get done through conversation, and we would try and sort it out in the best possible way."

"No one should imagine that I want to leave."

"On the contrary, I think I still haven't reached my peak."
