Roma to recall Spurs star:

Despite having an excellent first season in England and forming a winning partnership with Robbie Keane, Egyptian star Mido is set to be recalled by Roma.

Mido was widely expected to stay at Spurs, but the London club have informed Roma that they will not be placing an offer for the striker.

Mido will return to Serie A, which is still in chaos, after revelations involving Juventus and several other top sides.

Although there is some speculation that it could just be a ploy by Spurs to get the player on the cheap, these reports have been discounted by Roma officials.
