Recent signing Leigh Hinds was handed his first start alongside French attacker Laurent D'Jaffo.

Meanwhile, Ian McCall recalled Paul Gallacher in favour of Alan Combe while Andy Tod also returned to the side as United moved to a back three formation, with Gary Bollan and David McCracken making up the trio.
