A Book Of Eli (Part 7)

     There was a top six place at stake for God’s sake and it was one of those days when the team just didn’t show up. It’s been a very consistent season in that respect. With reliable regularity there were games when it was a Burnley no-show and it didn’t matter whether it was Laws or Howe in charge.
 
     A Potting Shed meeting usually warms up with a brief run through of current Burnley events. Sorry to say we were both agreed that this was now a club that even with all the parachute money could start heading backwards and downwards if Howe was the wrong man. There was a worrying lack of leadership and fight on the pitch. Howe hadn’t really geed things up but you couldn’t really say this was his team yet. McCann still hadn’t signed a new contract. Bolton were allegedly sniffing round. The messageboards and facebook were all agreed. If McCann left after Burnley had spent the best part of two years getting him back on his feet again after serious injury; it was another nail in the loyalty coffin and yet more testament to money, the God of the Premiership.
