Coventry Preview

Burnley take on Coventry tonight at Turf Moor in the league as we look to continue our unbeaten run to 8 games. The game is the first of three home games within the next seven days.

We last played at home 3 weeks ago when Richard Chaplow scored in the 88th minute to give us victory over Cardiff, since then we've picked up impressive draws at Reading and Ipswich so Steve Cotterill will be looking to build on these results tonight.

Up until last season we had a very good recent record against Coventry winning 4 out the first 4 matches between the two sides in this division but that all changed last season when we beaten 2-1 at the Turf before getting stuffed 4-0 at Highfield Road last March.

Coventry started the season reasonably well and were as high as 5th, when they beat West Ham, at the end of August. They haven't managed to win a game since then and the run of 7 games without a league win hasn't gone down well with the Coventry faithful.

The visitors are expected to have the same team that drew with Leicester on Saturday with their only real doubt being Claus Jorgensen.

Ian Moore is the major concern for the match tonight and we are still uncertain whether he had his operation yesterday or if it has been delayed until next week, Michael Duff is another injury doubt after being substituted due to cramp on Saturday.

If Moore doesn't make it tonight it is likely that Valois would replace him on the right although Lee Roche and Richard Duffy could be another option for Cotterill. If Duff doesn't make it, Richard Duffy would almost certainly take his place.

The referee for the game tonight is Scott Mathieson from Cheshire.
