Torreira Man of the Moment Again Player Ratings
Difficult one today as a few players looked knackered after a mammoth effort over the last week. Huddersfield were out to disrupt and frustrate. Really lacked that player between the midfield three and front two in the first half.
LOAN WATCH Calum Chambers at Fulham
As somebody who has always taken an interest in our younger players and players sent out on loan, I was inspired to start doing a regular “Loan Watch” for the Arsenal Times forum by Carl Jenkinson’s excellent form for West Ham during the 2014-15 season (how long ago does that seem now!).
Torreira Beats Mustafi to MotM Player Ratings at Man U
Really exciting game but neither side showed a great deal of quality in truth. Quite a battle in the end. Surprised both teams finished the game with 11 men. Disappointing to have taken the lead twice and thrown it away pretty pathetically both times. Yet again defending lets Arsenal down, but still unbeaten. Ratings follow:
Real Fight as Torreira MotM Player Ratings v Spurs
We flew out of the blocks, making a great start as Spurs couldn't deal with us, but we failed to extend our lead when we were on top and didn't react to Son's growing presence down our right side. However, we responded at half time, taking off our two weak links, and after weathering a Tottenham storm at the start of the second half, dominated the rest of the game and picking up a massive, and thoroughly deserved, derby win. Today we saw real fight and character, the likes of which we often miss.
Dream Evening In Kiev Player Ratings v Vorskla
Dream evening for me as we won comfortably whilst fielding 7 academy players, including three debutants off the bench. Hoping for more of the same against Qarabag in a couple of weeks.
Who are the Arsenal Youngsters Playing Vorskla?
A lot of youngsters and potential debutants involved tonight. We already know Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Emile Smith-Rowe and Eddie Nketiah well. But how about the rest?
Emery surprise for Eddie Report and Ratings
Surprising isn't it when we and Eddie Howe expected the "same old same old" and Arsenal hit them with a 3-4-3. Eddie Howe knew that he had Emery in his gun-sight with his pacy and tricky and physical Forward-5 in Brook-King-Wilson-Ferguson adding physical power to flair.
Ratings V Wolves Leno MOTM Lack of Urgency
The players lacked urgency in their play from the first whistle, What is the point of having 72% possession and Wolves score with their first decent chance?
Klopp Klipped? Player Ratings Torriera MotM and Match Report
It is long time since we saw an Arsenal team that has grit and plays with heart. Arsenal dominated possession but simply lacked a cutting edge with Aubameyang mistimed runs and leaving his shooting boots at home. Lacazette drifted in-and-out of the game but finally delivered as our resident fox-in-the-box.
Could Arsenal Have Been Klip Klopping Along By Now?
Arsenal fans are approaching the Liverpool game with some apprehension, although they are happy with Emery’s progress so far, many feel he has not had enough time to develop a team that can take on the big guns.
