Squad and Predictions for Bate Borisov

Its alright for Wenger moaning about the tight schedule, he should try running this website without pay and assistants. It seems like I'm having to put a fixture up every two hours at the moment, although that might be an age thing.

Anyhow I nearly missed doing this, it suddenly popped into my mind whilst organising washing machine insurance and paying off a massive credit card bill. Something about the tedium of doing laundry and the burden of debt must have reminded me of the Arsenal.

Couldn't get an exact list of the squad on a 2,800 plus miles round trip, but the Standard has some news on who is going, for example Sanchez is but Ozil (injury) isnt, Wilshere is Iwobi isnt etc Read it here. If you are desperate you can vist the Pravda site and view the photos and work it out from that.

Predictions? I haven't a clue, weak squads are always a banana skin, sometimes you get away with it, and sometimes you don't. I haven't a clue about Bate, apart from the fact that McNoScore used to play for them; so do educate me and tell us all what you will be predicting. And then put your prediction on the table.

At the moment 2-1 to Arsenal seems the favourite option, 3-1 is a favourite with quite a few of the bookies I have looked at on line

Well it seems the Standard got it wrong Amy Lawrence says no Sanchez and Probable team is:

Ospina Holding Mert, Monreal, Nelson, Wilshere, Elneny, Maitland Niles, Walcott, Giroud and Akpom

- until Wenger moves on, they'll always be the also-rans in the major competitions. A club in elite purgatory. Always good enough to make it to the big race, never fast or smart enough to push over the finish line in first place. That's all about the manager. Until he changes, Arsenal fans will continue to celebrate glorious failure.

Little annoyed. This is one competition we could actually win. And it's (imo) a proper trophy. European success, something that has eluded Wenger.

That team is ok. We need to manage the early rounds and keep players fresh for the weekend game. 3 games in 7 days is all about managing the squad. It also gives Wilshere another game to get some minutes in those bandaged up legs.

Akpom though, where did that come from? I'd rather see Debuchy (wherever he may be) and Nelson pushed further forward.
