Team News v Wigan

It´s been a heady week in terms of the hysteria from the press (which has now, to be honest, affected a lot of Chelsea fans) with regard to José´s position at the helm of Chelsea – don´t be surprised if there´s a lot of “José Mourinho!” chants from the Chelsea faithful.

I fancy the “Portugueezer” to pull something out the bag tomorrow, and no doubt the return of Drogba (from suspension), Carvalho (suspension) and Robben (from injury) will no doubt help provide the push we require. Unfortunately, Ashley Cole (who now plays like Ashley Cole once more!) is suspended, and Cuducini is still injured. It must also be recognised that Wigan have had their fair share of problems with players on the treatment table: Wigan captain, Ajan De Zeeurw, will be still missing, defender Andreas Granqvist, a recent loan signing is ill, midfielder Antonio Valencia is out with a hamstring problem, midfielder Paul Scharner and striker Henri Camara are both recovering from knee surgery although right-back, Ryan Taylor looks to be recalled into Paul Jewell´s squad. Wigan have suffered recently with a 0-3 home defeat at the hands of a tough, determined Blackburn and a 1-2 FA Cup reverse at the hands of Portsmouth. Team will probably be 4-3-3 switching to 4-4-2 around the 65th minute in the 2nd half: Hilario, Geremi, Carvalho, Ferreira, Bridge, Ballack, Lampard, Essien, Robben, Drogba, SWP switching with Kalou (or Shevchenko) in the 2nd half. Subs from: Hedman, Mikel, Maka, Kalou, Shevchenko Can I stick my neck out and say the team are really going to do it for José tomorrow and predict a 4-0 win? There! I´ve done it!
