This Mourinho thing… (+ Video press conference)

Hiddink has just completed his first day of training with Chelsea football club so why bring this subject up? Not exactly “tactful” or “good form” is it? Well no, I suppose not but there has been so much about the “Mourinho return” to Chelsea it seems silly to pretend it’s not there. We might as well get it out the way.
During a press conference in Milan Mourinho was asked a series of questions by the British media with reference to the Scolari sacking and his own feelings about Chelsea FC:
Yes – but I’m not saying when
"If you are asking me if you think one day I will return to Chelsea, I tell you 'yes, I think so', although I'm not saying when.
That is the crux of it – and it should be noted here that he did expand upon these comments during the conference (see BBC video below) by adding that he could just as easily say that he would manage in Spain or the Portuguese national side.
Club and fans
The ghost of Mourinho at Stamford Bridge won’t go away just yet and refuses to be exorcised by many of the fans – for Mourinho too there is a reciprocal feeling:
"I belong to their story and they belong to my story. I hope they get back to what they were because the club has changed."
"We were so happy together. Chelsea fans have a different feeling for me. It's a different emotion with them. I always wish them well because they are a special club for me and I have special friends there.

On Grant and Scolari
"Why have Chelsea suffered so much since I left? Because I left,” said Mourinho.
"They know what the good feeling of winning is, and when you have this you don't ever want to have the bad taste of losing.
"What's changed is Chelsea won six trophies when I was there, and now in the last one and a half years they've won zero."
Dig at Wenger and Arsenal
"It seems to be different for Chelsea than other clubs. Chelsea have not won (a trophy) for one and a half years, Arsenal have not won the title for five years," he said.
"It looks like everything is good at Arsenal, but at Chelsea everything is in bits. Maybe Chelsea has a different, winning character.
"Some managers have a big excuse when they go to a big club. They say 'I need a lot of time to do it'. If you say this, you get protection.
"If you don't win the title in the first season, or second season, you can keep saying 'I need time'. Sometimes you stay for four or five years, keep not winning, and then keep demanding more time.
"I could never be like this. I live for the risk. I believe you can do it in the first season, and if you do not, you fail. I prefer it like this. I prefer the pressure because that's how I live."
Ibrahimovic rejects speculation
"He has a long time to go as a trainer before he will think about going back to Chelsea. He has a contract here and I think he will respect that. He has a lot more to achieve here before anyone can think about him leaving."
"We are just over half way there and we are doing a bit better than we were last year. We should continue doing what we did against Milan – to play with confidence and bravery."
The Mourinho infection at Inter
Ibramovich is of course buoyed by Mourinho´s presence at Inter as Chelsea players were when “The Special One” was at Stamford Bridge. Mourinho has a way of boosting confidence in his players – Ibramovich was told by Mourinho that he felt he was a better player than Cristiano Ronaldo for example. Mourinho “infects” his squad with immense self-belief.
Training methods are another string to his bow that impresses his players:
"I think we were good when he came but he is learning more about Italian football and we are getting stronger and better from it," said Ibramovich.
"He has changed our mentality a bit. We are stronger in the big games. We train differently now, with more intensity. We have only one pitch – can you believe that? – but the training is very good."
Conclusion
Well we all know how good Mourinho is and I for one would love to see him back at Chelsea one day (in fact I wouldn´t be surprised if Abramovich has some sort of verbal agreement with Jose as a fall-back plan anyway) BUT, in the meantime, lets hope that Hiddink lifts us back up where we know we should be – let’s hope that we have success under the Dutchman and that next season, he – or the new manager he helps recommend – continues that success.

This guy is pure @#$%&. ALWAYS mentions Wenger, there's obviously some sort of reason, like I dont know, knowing Wenger is the true "Special one".
I'd like to see Jose manage an Aston Villa and do what Martin Oneil has done. Or what Moyes has done at Everton. Or what Wenger has done at Arsenal.
Remind me of all those European trophies Wenger has won again?

Na mate, I'm talking about Wenger coming to a big league and taking Arsenal (who finished 5th and 19 points behind Man United the season before he arrived) and done the Premier League and FA Cup Double in his first season, without spending ridiculous amounts.
Moyse has made Everton a top 6 side on a shoestring budget which is a lot more impressive than Mourinho coming to Chelsea and winning the title after spending millions upon millions.
The two key players in his attack (Robben and Duff) were Raneiri buys aswell. He just added a 24million battering ram in Drogba. Now he's top in Italy with Mancini's team, who have won the title for the last three seasons running.
How would he do if he was at Villa? Or if he started where Wenger did for Arsenal? Lets him do something like that in a big league then maybe he can call himself special.
