Tottingham travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday without a league win against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since 1990 when David Howells and Gary 'Match of the Day, Walkers Crisps' Lineker scored in a 2-1 win. John Bumstead scored Chelsea's reply. Tottingham can't even win at The Bridge in a Cup competition. 3-1 up two years ago in the FA Cup and they F****D it up.
Chelsea went on to win the subsequent replay eight days later at 'Three Point Lane.'
Last season Tottingham got the plaudits over Chelsea in the two Premiership league games.
The game at The Bridge ended 1-1 when Darren Bent and Juliano Belletti (I love scoring against Tottingham) were the scorers and then at 'Three Point Lane,' Modric who is out of tomorrow's game with a busted leg was Tottingham's hero in their 1-0 win.
We welcome Carlo Cudicini home on Sunday after he signed for Tottingham back in January. Whether Carlo plays remains to be seen as Hercule Gomes is fit and fighting to reclaim the No.1 shirt or whatever his shirt number is!?! (Ed... LOL).
Whether Carlo starts or warms the bench I am sure he will get a raptuous reception.
Because of Tottingham's terrible record at The Bridge I always get 'that' feeling that we will have a bad day and because of Tottingham's excellent start this season and the 'hot' form that both Jermaine Defoe and Aaron Lennon are in, my 'feeling' is somewhat unsteady.
However I am encouraged by the words of the boss, 'Anco.' He said "I know how important this match is for our fans and we have to pay attention to this.
"We want to do a good job, we want to win and we want to give enjoyment to our fans in this match.
"We have had five days to rest between Porto and Spurs and it is not necessary to rest some players. They've had a very good recovery and they can play a very strong match."
Two players expected to return are Jose Bosingwa and our in-form striker, Didier Drogba who were both suspended on Tuesday night. Jose misses one more CL game, whereas Didier will miss three more CL games.
Of Joe Cole, Paulo Ferriera and Yuri Zhirkov, Anco said, "Joe will not be involved this weekend. Paulo and Yuri and Joe hopefully will be involved in the Carling Cup match against QPR next Wednesday night."

No doubt Carlo will get a warm welcome - despite deciding to go to Spurs. People forget, he was the probably the Prems best keeper until Cech turned up yet he never complained - just got on with the job of keeping fit and being available.
Watching Carlo recently it is clear that he´s still not up to his best - then again, so many seasons without regular football. I reckon he wil just keep on improving now - as long as he doesn´t save too many tomorrow I´ll be happy for him.

Laugh of the day was that this was our biggest test and we didn't get out of second gear and as for their fans well.

As for our fans what? Actually daring to try and get an atmosphere going at the Bridge and outsinging your lot for 90 minutes? The cheek of it eh?!
Even though the scoreline ended up what it was, you know as well as I do that if Howard Webb had actually done his job it could've been a very different story. We should have had a penalty, Carvalho should have been sent off and then it would've been 1-1 with a lot of time to play and all the momentum behind us.
