Hughesy, Hughesy Chelsea 4-0 Blackburn BORING

A very different team took the field than the one that did against Moscow in midweek. Parker in, Cole in, Smertin in, Johnson in, Bridge in, with Kezman and Robben on the bench.

Although it took Chelsea over 35 minutes to break down a struggling Blackburn team in terrible rainy conditions, once the first goal went in it really was a question of how many Chelsea would eventually score. Four wasn't too bad considering the fact that in previous matches we were only winning 1-0. BORING BORING CHELSEA. And the other pleasing aspect was that although one of the goals came from a penalty the other three were scored from open play. Not from corners or freekicks, but from open play.

A first ever hat trick from Eidersson and a Duff twenty yarder. BORING BORING CHELSEA

An even tastier proposition took place when Robben who had been out injured for three months finally made his debut and caused Blackburn all sorts of problems down the left wing. Come on Kezman. Poor old Kezzer. As hard has he tried that first goal eluded him yesterday even hitting the bar from close range. Kezzer just looked up to the sky and held his arms out wide gesturing why why why??? If Robben carries on playing like he did yesterday Kezzer wont have to wait much longer.

Interestingly enough Duff's goal came from the right with Robben on the left. So at least for 18 minutes Chelsea proved that they can play with both Robben and Duff together.

After last week's dismal defeat against Man City, Chelsea need to show loads of Premiership BOUNCEBACKABILITY!!

Hughesy, sorry mate but sentiment goes straight out of the window today, as I hope that Chelsea put their dismal Stamford Bridge record against your boys to the sword. No wins at Stamford Bridge in the Premiership. I am hoping that we send you back on the bus with your tails between your legs. That is assuming you don't decide to park the team bus in the penalty area.

Hughesy you served Chelsea well. Before you joined us you were the MOST hated player ever to play for Man Utd, but once you signed for us everybody's opinions and attitudes towards you changed immediately and boy did you pay our faith and love back for you in kind. Surely your most memorable contribution, of all of them, was when you came on as a 2nd half sub against Liverpool in the FA Cup when we were 2-0 down. As they say the rest is history.

Hughesy I do hope that you get the welcome back home that you deserve, but once that whistle blows, I pray that you and your boys get the run around, and if the morning papers are to be believed, you could well do, with the news that Robben is fit again and is named in the squad.

Later!!!
